What are Nano Brows?
Nano brows are a brow tattooing technique where hair-like strokes are created with a single needle on a permanent makeup machine. A similar outcome as microblading but with longer lasting results. Any brow tattooing technique done with a machine is going to be more permanent because the pigment is going into the skin more concentrated and precise. With the nano technique you can build brows where there is none or blend in easily with existing brow hair, with more complicated clients, sometimes a combination of nano strokes and shading is more appropriate for blending. The nano brow technique is great for covering old microblading and in certain cases ideal for going over older shading to create a “fluffier” brow look.
Nano brows are ideal if you:
Wear minimal to moderate brow makeup regularly
Want your brows to look bold but natural with hair strokes
Are looking for a solution that lasts a couple of years minimum
Want to add shape or fullness to sparse or full brows
Have an older brow tattoo you are looking to cover or enhance
Have normal to oily skin
Nano brows are not quite as popular as microblading yet because it is a newer technique, so as always it is important to research your artist and make sure they have lots of experience with this certain technique before committing to an appointment. Nano brows usually cost a bit more than microblading since it is a more advanced technique, the cost of products used is higher and it is more permanent, which means less touch ups. If you currently have microblading and are looking for a more permanent solution, try a nano brow touch up instead!
