Combo Brows are a type of semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo. They are  a combination of hair-like strokes and shading. The strokes can either be done with the microblading technique which is done with a manual tool or they can be done with the nano technique which is done with a single needle on a permanent makeup machine.

The shading in combo brows can be extremely minimal to fairly saturated depending on how bold the client wants their brows to be. The shading can also be done with a manual tool (manual shading) or be done with a permanent makeup machine and be either the “powder” technique or “shaded” technique. The powder technique will give a very soft, makeup look and the shaded technique will be more of a solidly coloured look. 

Of all the eyebrow tattoo techniques, combo brows are usually the most bold look a client can go for (maybe second to full powder brows). However, you can make combo brows as natural or as bold as the client desires. Combo brows are great for all skin types (including oily/porous skin,) all hair types (fine to course/wiry) , lots of brow hair to little or no brow hair, clients with light or dark skin tones and clients that have an older eyebrow tattoo that they need fully covered.
