The Second Opinion: What to Do If You're Unhappy with Work from Another Artist

You got permanent makeup done somewhere else. Maybe the brows faded unevenly. Maybe the shape never felt right. Maybe you loved it at first and now, a year or two later, something has shifted and you don't know what to do about it.

This is not a dead end.

Permanent makeup correction is something Leah does regularly at Lashious Studio, and it starts with an honest look at what's actually there.

You Don't Have to Just Live With It

A lot of people assume that if their permanent makeup didn't turn out the way they hoped, they're stuck. They figure it'll fade eventually, or they tell themselves it's not that bad, or they feel embarrassed to bring it up.

None of that is necessary.

Brow shape, colour tone, healed texture, symmetry, placement. All of these can be looked at, and many can be improved. The first step is understanding exactly what you're working with.

What a Consultation Actually Looks Like

When you come in for a second opinion at Lashious Studio, Leah looks at the work and gives you a straight answer about what she sees.

Some things come down to how the pigment healed. Colour shifts over time, especially with certain undertones or skin types. What looked warm and natural when it was fresh might have pulled cooler or more saturated as it settled.

Other times the issue is shape or placement. That's a different conversation, and the options depend on how much work was done and how deeply the pigment is sitting.

Leah will tell you what she sees, what she thinks can be improved, and what the options actually are: a colour enhancement, a reshape, laser removal, or some combination.

What Leah Can Work With

Not every brow can be corrected with pigment alone. If the existing work has gone grey, blue, or ashy, or if it's too saturated or too solid to build on, adding more pigment on top makes things worse. In those cases, laser comes first.

Laser removal at Lashious isn't always about full removal. Often it's about lightening enough to create a workable base. One or two sessions can take a brow from impossible to work over to something that's ready for new work. Leah will tell you upfront if this is where you need to start.

Colour correction is possible when the pigment has shifted but the base is still workable. Tones that have pulled red, orange, or warm can often be neutralized and brought back to something that actually suits you.

Microblading correction: if your original microblading has healed patchy, faded unevenly, or lost definition, the path forward might be additional microblading, a switch to nano brows, or a combination. What's right depends on what's actually there.

Nano brows and nano brows with shading are both available. For many corrections, nano brows with shading is particularly useful. The combination of strokes and soft powder fill can mask a lot and still look like a natural brow.

3D brows is an intricate, layered technique using multiple shades for a hyper-realistic result. Depending on what you're working with, it may be the right fit.

Not every situation has a quick solution. The consultation is about getting an honest picture of what's possible so you can make the right call.

What to Bring to Your Consultation

Photos from right after your original service. Seeing how the work looked when it was fresh gives important context for how it's healed.

Any information about the technique used. Microblading, powder brows, nano brows, and combination brows all behave differently over time and respond differently to additional work.

Your honest goals. Whether you want a subtle improvement or a significant change, knowing what you're actually hoping for gives Leah something real to work with.
