Permanent makeup generally lasts up to two years in the brow area and up to 5 years on the lips. The pigment is placed into the dermal layer of the skin and is considered a tattoo. It is often referred to as "semi-permanent" because a touch-up will be required at some point. The cosmetic tattoo will begin to fade over time. The longevity of your cosmetic tattoo will depend on many factors such as the colour of pigment used, skin type, lifestyle (sun exposure) and treatment of skin (dermabrasion, chemical peels, etc.).

Some clients describe feeling minimal pain and discomfort comparable to threading or waxing; while others report feeling barely any pain at all. The amount of pain will depend on the client's pain tolerance and body's reaction to anesthetic. We use two types of very effective topical anesthetic. We always do our best to make sure you are comfortable. Anesthetic can be applied throughout the procedure at any time if needed.
-
The brow or lip appointment generally takes 2-4 hours from start to finish. This is not a rushed procedure and we ensure ample time is allotted.
-
We currently accept cash, debit and all major credit cards.
-
Do not drink alcohol, or caffeine, or take ibuprofen 24 hours before your appointment. This can cause excessive bleeding.
Make sure you have eaten within 3 hours prior to your appointment to ensure your blood sugar levels are optimal.
You can wear makeup to the appointment if you prefer. All makeup will be removed before we start.
Having a shower before your appointment is a good idea because the tattooed area must be kept dry for at least 24 hours (up to one week, with further instructions provided by Lashious Studio).
Women should not book their appointment during their menstrual cycle as the body is more sensitive during this time causing the procedure to be more painful.
-
Keep your brow routine as is. If you don’t usually wax/tweeze then just leave them. If you do usually then have them shaped before you come in.

We begin by taking before photos.
Then we take measurements to ensure the eyebrows are even and proportional with the rest of the features. Then we draw the eyebrow design with an eyebrow pencil. We work with you during this process to achieve your desired look along with the most flattering shape for your face and will not start the procedure until you approve. Pigment colour is chosen to match your natural brow colour and will be shown to you before we start.
Once the eyebrows are penciled in, we draw an outline with a surgical marker. This acts as a guide while we are doing the procedure.
Once we have the outline, we scratch the surface of the skin and apply the topical anesthetic. We allow the anesthetic to penetrate and numb the area. Once the area is frozen, we will begin tattooing.
We usually do 2-4 passes of tattooing depending on the technique.
Then we will make sure you love them, take some photos and provide you with aftercare.

First we take before photos.
Then we decide on a colour based on skin tone and lip tone as well as which colour the client wants to achieve.
Then we numb the lips for 20 minutes.
Once numb, we take measurements and draw the desired lip shape.
Lip colour sculpting is a slow process of layering on pixels of colour. We do 3-4 passes depending on the colour.
Then we take after photos and provide you with aftercare.

Our needles are sealed and packaged and opened right before starting the procedure. They are only used for one procedure and then safely discarded. Our trays, beds, and other instruments are sterilized before and after every procedure.

Initially, the cosmetic tattoo will be darker and slight redness and swelling may occur. IF redness and swelling are present, it tends to disappear within 24 hours. Although the cosmetic tattoo may appear darker initially, it is generally not noticeable to others. You can return to normal activities following the procedure (aside from anything that causes excess sweating), but you may be self-conscious for a while if swelling and darkening are obvious. The tattoo will start to lighten and look more natural over the following weeks. Please refer to our aftercare page for more detailed information on the healing process.
